A worst day birding beats a best day at work. =)
Here a few of my favorite weekend bird photos from the weekend in no particular order. Click on the images to enlarge.
Not an all inclusive list by any means… but we caught a few on camera that I would like to share. See how many you can name without clicking on them.
Looks like a 1980’s movie still.
Looks like something from a scene in a play. Great pose! Candid shots make the greatest poses.
My daughter Madison came over and it gave me an opportunity to try out the Sigma 24-70mm 2.8. It focuses nearly instantly with no searching. I have only taken a few shots with it, but so far, I am thoroughly enjoying the lens.
Our little camera club got together this past week and decided it was time to try low key photography. I am sure each of them will deliver something creative. Due to time constraints and laziness, I will limp in with this quick selfie. Using a single strobe and a Canon 100mm F2.8, this photograph will be my contribution.
Yuki got in on the action by jumping into the chair. The flash did not bother her, but the bling sure did.
Doji received a bit of attention as well.
Went by the office at Lake Mineral Wells State Park and found this Painted Bunting who was willing to pose for me. Friendly little guy!
A few months back, we received a new family member. Actually we grabbed two. This is Yuki in the early days. Boy has she grown since then.
Good to be back in Texas and some down home birding.
Night photos of the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, TX.
